THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND HEALTH WORKER SUPPORT ON MOSQUITO NEST ERADICATION BEHAVIOR

The most effective control of Dengue Fever risk factors is integrated vector control by physical, chemical, and biological means, involving community participation in mosquito nest eradication. PSN behavior can be influenced by knowledge, education, and support from health workers. The research design used in this study was descriptive-quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted in December 2022 at RT 01 RW 01 Tanjung Baru Village, the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Tanjung Baru. The population in this study consisted of 50 family heads. The sampling method used was the total sampling method, namely 50 samples. The independent variables in this study were knowledge, education, and health worker support, and the dependent variable in this study was mosquito nest eradication behavior. Data were collected using instruments such as questionnaires and check lists. This study used the chi-square statistical test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge, education, and health worker support on mosquito nest eradication behavior, with p values of 0.000, 0.001, and 0.000, respectively. It is expected that the community will further improve their behavior in mosquito nest eradication through increasing health cadres in the area in order to increase knowledge and establish a harmonious relationship between health workers and the community in achieving mosquito nest eradication.
