Futsal is often done at night because young adults have busy routine activities during the day. The objective of this research is to determine the acute response of polymorphonuclear leucocytes to night futsal sport in untrained futsal players. This study applied a quasi-experimental approach with pretest-posttest control group design. It was conducted at Bexx Adipura Futsal Indoor in Makassar. A total of 18 young adults were selected using purposive sampling technique. Blood samples of the polymorphonuclear leucocytes amount were collected before intervention and after futsal sport for 40 minutes, followed by a 10 minutes interval. Venous blood is taken for 3 ml by using syringe to check the amount of polymorphonuclear leucocytes. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and t-test. The results showed that response of neutrophil (p=0.005) and eosinophil (p=0.035) were increased significantly after futsal sport intervention in the samples group who did futsal at night. Based on the result, it was concluded that there was a significant acute response of neutrophil and eosinophil when performing futsal sport at night on untrained futsal players.
